"If you own a 2025 or 2026 Toyota GR Corolla and you've been holding off on an aftermarket intake because of the dreaded P2C90 code, you're not alone. It's become one of the most talked-about issues in the GR Corolla community, and until recently, there wasn't a great answer for it. We finally have one, and we tested it ourselves. In our latest install video, we put the MST V2 cold air intake on a 2025 GR Corolla and paired it with MST's new fix module, which is designed to eliminate the P2C90 check engine light that pops up when you add aftermarket intake, snorkel, or catch can components to these cars. We wanted to show the real process: install the intake, trigger the code, install the fix, then monitor the car to confirm it actually works. Here's what we found, and what you need to know before you upgrade your own intake. What Is the P2C90 Code, and Why Does It Happen? The P2C90 code is a manifold pressure code. Your GR Corolla's factory ECU expects intake pressure to stay within a specific, fairly narrow range. When you increase airflow into the engine with an aftermarket intake, that pressure can vary from the factory target, and the ECU flags it. On 2023 and 2024 GR Corollas, Toyota released a software update that resolved this issue for most owners. Unfortunately, the 2025 and 2026 models are far more sensitive to this pressure variance, and there's currently no factory workaround. It doesn't take much to trigger it either. Even adding a carbon fiber intake snorkel was enough to set off the code on a track day. The good news: this code is more of an annoyance than a mechanical concern. It triggers a check engine light and can prompt a loss-of-power message urging you to visit the dealer, but it does not affect engine health or long-term reliability. It simply means the ECU isn't seeing the pressure reading it expects. How MST Solved It MST, a Taiwan-based intake manufacturer, took a US-spec GR Corolla and worked through the problem directly to develop a fix. The result is a small module that intercepts the signal from the factory pressure sensors and keeps the readings within the range the ECU is looking for. A few important details about how it works: It connects to the positive battery terminal, a ground point, and two pressure sensors near the valve cover. It only affects the crankcase breather/PCV pressure sensors, not the MAP sensors on the charge piping. Because of that, it has no effect on tuning, fueling, or boost. If you're running a piggyback tuner like a JB4 or an AF Scorcher, this module won't interfere with it. In short, the module isn't altering your tune or your performance. It's just telling the ECU what it wants to hear from a sensor that was never designed to account for aftermarket airflow. Putting It to the Test We didn't just want to tell you it works. We wanted to show it. Here's the process we ran: Installed the MST V2 intake on a 2025 GR Corolla. Drove the car until the P2C90 code triggered and went permanent, confirmed with an OBD2 scanner. Installed the MST fix module. Cleared the code and monitored the car over the following days. The first time around, without the fix, the code took about 20 miles to trigger a permanent check engine light. After installing the fix module and clearing the code, we drove 40 miles with no code returning, and confirmed with the OBD2 scanner that there was nothing pending. A week later, after roughly four days of regular driving, the code still had not come back. Based on our testing, the fix worked exactly as intended. Interested in seeing the entire install process? Follow along with me here! What About Other Intake Brands? If you're running a K&N, an Eventuri, AWE, or another brand entirely, you're probably wondering if this fix applies to you. MST's goal was to solve this code regardless of which intake you're running, since the underlying issue is the same across brands. One caveat worth mentioning: MST has not officially verified compatibility with every other intake brand on the market. That doesn't mean it won't work, but they aren't making guarantees outside of their own product line. If you're running a different brand and considering the fix, it's a reasonable assumption that it will work the same way, since it's addressing the ECU's pressure expectations rather than anything specific to MST's intake design. A Quick Note on Sound For anyone curious about the noise difference, the MST V2 intake includes a cover for the intake box. With the cover on, the car is noticeably quieter, though still louder than stock. Leave it off, and you'll get the fuller turbo induction sound. It's a nice option to have depending on whether you want a daily-friendly cabin or maximum turbo noise. Should You Make the Jump? If the P2C90 code has kept you from upgrading your intake on a 2025 or 2026 GR Corolla, this is the workaround the community has been waiting for. It solves the check engine light issue without touching your tune, your boost, or your fueling, and based on our own testing, it holds up over real-world driving. We'll continue testing new products like this and sharing honest, real-world results, because we'd rather show you what actually works than just tell you. The MST V2 intake and the P2C90 fix module are both available now at RallySport Direct. If you've been dealing with this code or you're planning your first aftermarket intake on a 25/26 GR Corolla, check them out and reach out to our team with any questions."

Common Misspellings & Typo Domains for rallysportdirect.com:
"There’s a common misconception in the performance world: Stiffer always means better. But after visiting Annex Suspension at their facility in Fremont California, it became clear that they don’t follow that mindset at all. Walking through their shop, seeing their process firsthand, and talking  with the team, one thing stood out immediately: This isn’t outsourced. This isn’t off-the-shelf shocks and springs. This is a company building suspension the way enthusiasts actually want it to feel. Annex operates out of their Bay Area facility, where their systems are designed, tested, assembled, and quality checked in-house.  Being there in person gives you a completely different perspective. You see: Components being assembled Dampers being tuned Real conversations about setup—not just sales And that’s when it clicks: They’re not trying to move volume, they’re trying to get it right. The Core Philosophy: Let the Damper Do the Work This is where Annex really separates itself. Most coilover setups rely on: High spring rates Stiff ride “Track-first” tuning Annex goes the opposite direction.  They let the damper do the work not the spring. That means: Lower spring rates More suspension travel Better compliance And most importantly: A car that actually works on real roads.  After seeing their approach up close, it makes sense why their setups feel different. Instead of fighting the road, Annex setups: Absorb imperfections smoothly Maintain tire contact over uneven surfaces Keep the car stable and predictable That translates directly into how the car feels: Silky smooth over bumpsControlled without being harshPlanted when pushing the car Built for the Roads You Actually Drive One thing that stood out during the visit is that Annex isn’t designing for perfect conditions. They’re designing for: Rough pavement Backroads Daily driving Real-world conditions That’s why their systems don’t feel like a compromise. You’re not choosing between: Comfort Performance You’re getting both because the system is designed that way from the start. In today’s market, it’s easy to find: Rebranded suspension Overly stiff setups Products built around specs instead of experience Annex takes a harder approach: In-house development Real testing Driver-focused tuning"
"At Sonoma Raceway, we spent the weekend immersed in the world of TC America Series and the Toyota GR Cup North America, and what stood out most wasn’t just the racing. It was the cars. Spending a weekend at Sonoma Raceway, it’s easy to get caught up in the speed, the noise, and the competition, but what really stood out was the structure behind it all. The TC America Series, part of the broader SRO Motorsports America platform, sits in a unique place in racing. It’s not built around unobtainable supercars or prototype machines. It’s built around something far more relatable: production-based touring cars. These are cars that start life as something familiar, platforms you’ll recognize immediately, but are refined into purpose-built race machines. These aren’t exotic, untouchable machines. These are platforms we work with every day: Toyota GR Corolla Subaru BRZ / Toyota GR86 Honda Civic Type R Hyundai Elantra N The same cars you drive to work… are being pushed to their absolute limits on track.  What is TC America? The TC America Series is a professional touring car championship built around tightly matched, factory-supported race cars from manufacturers like Honda, Hyundai, Toyota, Acura, and BMW. What makes the series compelling isn’t just the cars, it’s how they race. Each weekend is structured around two sprint races, typically around 35 minutes each, creating a format that prioritizes: Close competition Minimal margin for error Constant pressure from start to finish There are no long pit strategies or drawn-out endurance tactics. It’s immediate. Every lap matters. “These feature the same cars that you and I drive on the road… so we wanted to find out what it actually takes to get them ready for a full race series.”    Here are some modifications the GRCup GR86 uses. 4-cyl horizontally opposed DOHC with VVT - 228 hp Bosch MS6 Cup ECU Borla exhaust system SADEV SCL82-17 6-speed sequential gearbox Torsen limited-slip differential JRi shock absorbers ADDCO/Eibach stabilizers Front MacPherson struts / rear double-wishbone Bosch M5 ABS You don’t need a catalog of raceparts, you need the track basics. Key Upgrades We Heard Over and Over: 1. Oiling System = Survival Oil coolers Baffled oil pans Critical for boxer engines (BRZ/GR86/Subaru roots) Without this, engines don’t last a race weekend. 2. Suspension = Speed “Aero and dampers… always going to make the car faster.” Proper dampers = control + confidence Dialed suspension = usable grip, not just power This is where lap time really comes from. 3. Aero = Stability Front splitters Rear wings Underbody airflow Not just for looks. This is what keeps cars planted at speed.   The Big Takeaway Here’s the reality: Race cars aren’t completely different, they’re optimized versions of what you already own. The TC America Series proves that: GR Corolla race cars Civic Type R race cars Elantra N TC builds …are all based on production platforms. And in the Toyota GR Cup North America, every team runs nearly identical GR86s. Showing just how capable the platform is right out of the box.  Bringing It Back to Your Car You don’t need a race team to apply what we saw. If you’re doing: Spirited driving Autocross Track days These same upgrades make a real difference. Start Here: Reliability Oil cooler Brake pads Fluid upgrades Control Tires Coilovers / dampers Alignment Performance Aero Cooling upgrades Close Racing, Not Just Fast Racing Because the cars are so closely matched, TC America becomes less about outright speed and more about execution. Drivers aren’t just managing power—they’re managing: Tire wear Brake performance Racecraft in tight packs That’s why the racing feels different. It’s not spread out, it’s stacked. Wheel-to-wheel battles happen throughout the field, not just at the front. The format itself is designed to encourage that intensity. A shorter race means: No time to recover from mistakes No room to settle in Constant pressure from green flag to checkered Why This Matters to Us At RallySportDirect, this is exactly why we support platforms like: GR Corolla BRZ / GR86 Civic Type R Elantra N Because motorsports isn’t separate from the street, it’s an extension of it.  Build Your Track-Ready Setup Whether you’re just getting started or pushing your car further, we’ve got the parts to help you get there."
