"TECHNOCON was founded by Professor Alfons Vogelpohl, at that time head of the Department of Thermal Process Engineering at the Technical University of Clausthal, to achieve a technology transfer of newly developed bioreactors from labratory scale to big-scale treatment plants."

"In TECHNOCON, we look forward to a mutually beneficial business relationship. Therefore, we maintain a side-by-side work philosophy from the project's conception until its completion. As a result, since the mid-1990s, our licensing partners have successfully constructed around 100 plants in 20 countries worldwide - for both the aerobic biological treatment of industrial wastewater and landfill leachate, and the anaerobic biological treatment of sewage sludge, manure, and food waste."

"The Clausthal Jet Reactor (CJR) is, due to its high efficient oxygen transfer, an optimized bioreactor for the aerobic treatment of high concentrated wastewater. It can be used for COD removal and also for nitrification."

"The CJR is a tower type biological reactor for aerobic wastewater treatment and it works according to the activated sludge principle. The characteristic equipment of a CJR is the special two-phase-jet-nozzle, which creates a downstream of the liquid phase, a fine dispersion of the biomass, a suction of the air, the formation of fine air bubbles and a high oxygen mass transfer."
